Biography:
Dong Zhao is currently an Associate Professor in the Beijing Key Laboratory of Intelligent Telecommunications Software and Multimedia, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Beijing, China. He is currently also a visiting scholar at the Department of Computer Science, Rutgers University during 2019-2020, working together with Prof. Desheng Zhang. He received his Ph.D degree at School of Computer Science, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications in 2014, supervised by Prof. Huadong Ma. He was a visiting Ph.D student in wireless networking (WINET) research group at Department of Computer Science, Illinois Institute of Technology during 2012-2013, supervised by Prof. Xiang-Yang Li. His research interests include Internet of Things, mobile sensing networks, urban computing and big data. He won the China Computer Federation (CCF) Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award (2015), the ACM Beijing Doctoral Dissertation Award (2015), the Second Prize in National Teaching Achievement Award in China (2018), the First Prize in Natural Science Award by the Ministry of Education in China (2017), the First Prize in CCF Natural Science Award (2017), and the First Prize in Teaching Achievements of Beijing (2017). He was elected in the Young Elite Scientists Sponsorship Program by CAST (2018). He is a senior member of CIC, a member of CCF, IEEE and ACM. He serves as the TPC member for many international conferences (e.g., IEEE DCOSS2015, GLOBECOM2016, MASS2019, ICPADS 2019, etc.) and the reviewer for many referred journals (e.g., IEEE/ACM TON/TPDS/TMC/JSAC, etc.).
